After a few hours of enjoying the surrounding hiking routes, we as a ramblers group decided to enjoy a few drinks and snacks at the refugio bar , a bit early for a full lunch perhaps, but hungry enough for a few snacks, We were occupying 4 tables of 4 outside on the patio, we were dressed in outdoor sport clothing and were directed straight outside. which was great as the sun was shining anyway. We waited 15 min for our drink and were still not given a menu or choice of snacks and sandwiches. after 30 min. we were given their menus and we wanted to order immediatly. The moment the staff were about to take our orders, 16 snacks and at least 20+ drinks , they told us, that the "snack menu" was no longer valid!! and we were going to have to choose from a full menu a la carte instead .. so we wasted 30 min waiting, while we could have ordered our food and drinks from the very start" to be on time" for the snack hours. This kind of behaviour is outrages, there were NOBODY else in this hotel/ restaurant as clientele, we were litterly the only 16 people there . So why would they turn away 16 clients ? Either they dont care for business and have too much money anyway, or they just could not be bothered and prefered it empty. As existing clients ( 10 years!) we brought exrta potencial future clients, but now none of us want to return after being treated like this. completely un professional and totally dissapointing. If this was my business and im in the middle of the week ( wednesday morning) having 16 clients coming in , while it is litterly totally empty ill jump on the occasion and hope every new client in this group is a happy one.
